One of my 101 in 1001 goals was to participate in the Samaritan's Purse Project. That didn't happen, but I found another project, similar to it, but its focus was on the Romanian children - Shoe Box. The project started a few years ago, and it got more attention via media as the years went by. The company I work for was involved in this project, too, and after I put together my box I simply took it to work. From there it made its way to where it was supposed to go, and later on to a child in need. I put together a box for a boy of 6-7 years. I hope the things in it were useful and they were a nice gift for the little boy.
I forgot to take a picture of the box, but I found one on my boss' facebook page of all the boxes (110 in total!), and I took one from there, one where I saw my box.
I am looking forward to next year's project. As always, I plan to start earlier and to finish the box early. And as always, I will probably end up doing it at the last possible minute. But good intentions and all count.
