And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

We need to remember that the phrase "being transformed" is in a passive tense, indicating that we aren.t in charge of transforming ourselves; it's the work of the Holy Spirit within us. We willingly allow it, though, and we can certainly thwart it. So it's not to say we don't play a role, but we aren't (and can't be) the one who does the transforming.

We show our love to the Lord by obeying Him. Plain and simple. It certainly isn't an easy process, but it's the pruning and replanting of aspects that aren't in alignment to His that bring life where death once was.
