What I've Read Lately #8

And we're in 2018. This is a slow reading year. Maybe I'll get to 30 books read. I try not to beat myself for that. It's been a busy and weird year so far. Here are the books I got to read:

I was curious what will happen with the characters, but I was no longer rooting for the main character. Some characters were plain annoying.

I was glad to be done with this series. I was glad to get it off my to-read list. Overall it was a good read, but I didn't enjoy every book equally. The first book was my favourite.

I enjoyed this series so much! It had been on my to-read list for too long, and thanks to my cousing lending it to me, I got to read them all this past winter break. I can't wait for book #4!

This was sad and hard. I enjoyed it a lot. I also read it for the Modern Mrs Darcy reading challenge for 2018. It's my first book from Hosseini, and I like his style.
This was also a birthday present from a friend, and I read it in Romanian.

Another book read in Romanian. It's a mother's story about her autistic boy. It's funny, and frustrating, and sometimes sad, and proof of what lengths moms can go to to make sure their kids are OK and get to have access to the best things. It's a quick read, but it stayed with me for a while.
